Always check that the location is what you really seek
Check that the conditions of the property are acceptable to you prior to entering any agreement, this includes roofing, tiling, water (any leakages?), electricity, paint conditions, and so on
Check that the terms and conditions stated in the Option contract are fair and reasonable to you
Make sure that your finances/budget are ready so that you are in the position to settle should your offer be accepted by the seller or landlord
It is advisable also to check with URA records to see the latest transaction prices to ensure you are getting reasonable prices
